Yes… No one will see what’s coming… That dress does look rather flattering on you, Mars. I suppose that innocent look is an advantage when you don’t want people to see how pathetic you really are.
As for me? I prefer to use my intellect, something you’re obviously lacking.
“My my. What is that I hear? The sound of your jealousy is really quite unflattering. I really think you aught to stick to that purple color you having going on. Green is definitively not your color.” Mars stated rather clearly, her hands moving in a slight fashion as if she were to be drawing something on the older woman. Sort of as if she were to be using the open air as a canvas.
Her arms crossed, rolling her shoulders along with her eyes at the last comments. “I have intellect. I just prefer to jump first and get to the goal faster.” The redhead stated, rolling her eyes soon after.
Says the little girl that would never be able to fill out my outfit as nicely as I do. Why do you think you wear such a dull little dress?
There is nothing wrong with my little dress, for one thing.. I can come off as the rather innocent type and no one will see what is coming. What can I say, that comes off to a rather advantage. It really does. And as for you. I’m not so sure what you got going on there.
Of course not my silly little anon. My muse will skin the life out of me if I did try to do such a ridiculous thing.
Cyrus briefly rose one of his hairless eyebrows at the mention of Saturn. He hadn’t realized he had voiced his disappointment in the male commander’s whereabouts; or perhaps Mars had acquired some sort of telepathy in his absence. “I’m in no rush, Commander. Since Jupiter is taking her time arriving, we might as well put it to use and debrief you. I’d hate to have to repeat myself on the new information I have to put out.” Jupiter had appeared so on top of her game, it was disappointing to see her slacking in this manner. Hopefully she hadn’t used his illness as an excuse to leave for vacation or other nonsense. But by saying he was in no rush, he simply meant there was nothing else of importance on his agenda for today, that didn’t mean that his patience was unending.
Cyrus placed his hands in his lap, maintaining a calm demeanor. “As I’m sure you’re aware, Team Galactic isn’t on the most sincere terms with the community. In fact, due to common mistrust, people refuse to serve us in the most honest of situations. So, in order to amend our reputation, we must stop our facades for a while. We must earn the trust of our society in the despicable manner of genuinity.”
“I plan to make us back into a simple research company. We will invest into research of both the past history, and the technology of the stars. We will use this opportunity to not only rebuild connections with powerful companies, but to also replenish our depleted resources and finances. Team Galactic was once respected, and we shall reinstate that stigma, once more. I want everyone — even the grunts training their pokemon, as once we restore our reputation, I still intend to find a way to continue our plans of purifying this world. Just remember: We will only be playing by society’s rules as a necessity, not because we agree with them or what they did.”
“Yes, Master Cyrus.” The commander answered as the took it into his hands to explain to her what has been going on since his return. As he started off, she just simply nodded, making sure her focus did not stray from the leader.
The goals of their leader was quite clear, it was what they had agreed on from the start, he was the one with the goals to recreate and remake a better world for them all. It was his wish, and it was their job as their loyal subordinates to follow along. “Yes sir. That is clear.”
It really did make sense, all of it. As much as she would like to admit that she was somewhat disappointed that they were not gonna go with a bang, though she could see why it was that they would rather stay quiet about it. If.. When this plan works out perfectly, it would leave quite a surprise for everyone whom was certain that had fully changed their previous route. Which would be true.. To a certain extend of course.
“Understood.” The commander stated, bowing down to the leader once more. “I’ll gather up my half of the grunts and give out their orders at once.” Not really having much else to say without disturbing Cyrus, Mars decided she would step out for the time being. “If that will be all. Please do continue your recovery, I shall carry on with my duties now.”
Cyrus was silent a moment, taking in what she had said. “Tell me, Commander, do you see Team Plasma as a threat to our mission?” From what he had learned on his own, the other organization seemed like it wouldn’t touch him in any fashion. Regardless, once Team Galactic’s plans reached fruition, any opposition would no longer exist.
“And since you’ve returned, am I to assume Jupiter has debriefed you, or shall we take the time to do that now?” He had hoped maybe the Saturn had returned as well, but he wouldn’t hold his breath much longer. Team Galactic needed to begin making progress, and would do so with or without the missing pieces.
“Briefly.. We haven’t gotten the chance to talk so much.. Unfortunately I am quite misinformed for the most part.” Her lips pursed as he mentioned on filling her in. It would be nice to hear from Cyrus, maybe even learn bits and pieces of his time in the distortion world. As much as she would love to hear it all, she did not want to overwork him so early on. Though, as he mentioned their fellow missing commander, her face fell slightly. She had not really heard from the little drift there was some time back. “I honestly haven’t seen him in a while. Nor heard any news of his whereabouts.. I apologize for not being much of help in that part.”
Her attention being drawn back to the present, she looked back at the leader. “Master Cyrus.. You called for us. Was there something you would like for us to handle?”
Cyrus merely looked up from his computer as the redheaded commander entered his office. “Rise, Commander,” he ordered before gesturing to a chair in front of his desk. “Please sit.” He only did so because he didn’t feel like getting up. Even having recovered, he had grown adjusted to saving his strength until absolutely necessary. “I’m pleased to see you’ve returned. You were in Unova, you say? Do elaborate; I’m curious to hear more. Did you encounter this ‘Team Plasma’ I’ve heard of, or was it more trivial matters?” Ever since Jupiter had told him grunts had left for Team Plasma, Cyrus had grown a small fascination with the rival team.
“Mostly the latter, but I did run into a few of their grunts. And a few of ours.” She grumbled under her breath. Once the team fell apart, they all really did go their own way. There were quite a few that were still loyal to Cyrus even though he was no longer physically there. It was probably the commanders constant nagging that he would return that many stood. Nonetheless, running into those who fled with their tail between their legs to a foreign region.. Lets just say she did not think twice before talking some sense into them.
“There really is nothing much to them. They have more of the drive to kill rather to create a balance.. Find the flaws that need to be fix. Honestly, I really doubt any of them lot really think.”
It had been some time since Cyrus had returned to Team Galactic, his physical ailments being much more severe than he had at first realized, so he had been confined to his room for a month, catching up on the big events and discoveries that had occurred during his absence in the Distortion World.
Now, he felt much better, so it was long past time he emerged and took charge again. After washing himself, and putting on a fresh new uniform, he finally left his quarters, heading to his actual office. Sitting down at his desk, he picked up the controls to the intercom, “I need all Team Galactic Commanders to report to my office at once.” Certainly more of the commanders had returned by now, and it would be more time efficient to speak with them all at once.
Mars had actually been away for a short period of time from headquarters, mostly on a short journey to be able to work on herself but to see if there was a way to find that one person she had been waiting for to return. She had gotten a call from one of her fellow commanders stating that their master was back. Mars would have been back sooner if it weren’t for the bad weather problems the other regions were having. “Arceus dammit!” She hissed, throwing her duffle bag off her bed. “I want to see him!” The redhead called out, sitting at the foot of her bed, huffing in frustration. She had been previously denied access to see their leader because he was resting.
Her behavior did a 180 degree change once she heard a familiar voice being called out speakers in the corner of her room. “Master Cyrus!” She called out, quieting down to hear the message.
“I need all Team Galactic Commanders to report to my office at once.”
It sounded.. Urgent. Not thinking about it, she slid her boots on to complete her uniform. Adjusting her head usual devices, she headed on out her room and down the hall to the leader’s office. Pressing a few buttons, she waited for the doors to slide open before announcing herself.
“Commander Mars reporting!” The redhead called out, taking steps towards him, kneeling shortly before him.
“Welcome back, sir. I apologize for not being able to greet you earlier. I was away in the Unova region, settling some minor businesses.”
